Lupus_drug_study_is_suspended_by_Roche_after_deathsOcrelizumab is a lupus disease drug which was developed by Roche Group, a Swiss pharmaceutical company, together with Biogen Idec with headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Psychotherapy can help lupus patient cope

Psychotherapy_help_lupus_patient_copeA new study finds that psychotherapy can helps cut the incidence of psychological woes in patients with lupus who have high levels of daily stress. According to a new Spanish study, the treatment also helps patients to improve and maintain their quality of life.

4 Types of lupus

There are four types of lupus disease. Although similar, each type of lupus has a different cause and treatment.

  1. Discoid lupus erythematosus or cutaneous lupus. This type affects only the skin. People with discoid lupus, experience a circular rash on the neck, face and scalp.
